Services for Growing the Good

Let Us Serve You

We are here for you! We specialize in postpartum conditions, infant loss, pregnancy loss, infertility, birth trauma, sexual trauma, anxiety, and depression. In addition to these services we offer EMDR and Intensives. Learn more about these services below.

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy can be a bit intimidating or scary to some. Others love the chance to talk one-on-one with someone who can remain neutral. No matter which way you lean for that first appointment, we focus on you and what you can do to help yourself make the changes you're aiming to make. Every situation is unique, but most people can see and feel improvement within two or three sessions. The first meeting will be primarily to review the paperwork you filled out online, discuss your goals, and get to know your therapist. Most appointments are 50 minutes, and no matter how much you share with your therapist, you will always be treated with respect and without judgement. Information remains confidential, as required by law.

We take several private insurances, please call for more information.

Please note we do not take Medicaid or Medicare

Our private Pay rates for individual sessions are $185 for intakes and $125 for 50 min sessions.

Groups

Research shows that some of the most effective results come from participation in groups. It can be scary, but people who have similar struggles, questions, and experiences and are also motivated to make changes provide the perfect environment to feel supported and validated. Some groups are held in person, while others are offered online. If you don't see an open registration for a group you're interested in, please contact us to be notified of future availability.

EMDR

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing;

It’s a wordy way to say “using your eyes to access more of your brain rather than using only the verbal communication part of your brain. It allows you to work through your painful issues w/out having the word finding part of your brain slow you down, while creating new, healthier neuropathways.

  • What is it?

This type of therapy involves 8 phases, only two of which utilize eye movement.  Some people have experienced significant relief after just 8 sessions while others require more sessions to completely reach their healing goals.   Some of our clients have called it "magic voodoo" , others "Harry Potter therapy".  No matter what you call it, the only thing you have to lose is the pain and distress

  • Why EMDR?

It can speed up the healing process significantly and doesn’t require you to repeat details of the event to your therapist. Admittedly, that’s an incredibly oversimplified description, so click on this YouTube link to learn the more detailed explanations.

  • Who is it for?

EMDR primarily focuses on helping those struggling with the effects of trauma and distressing experiences.  Over the last 25+ years, research has shown it to also be effective in treating general anxiety, some forms of depression and other mental health conditions in all ages.

EMDR Intensives

Please know the word intensive doesn’t mean the work we do is more intensely uncomfortable than the 1 hr EMDR sessions. Rather, it refers to the focus and momentum you will build by doing longer sessions. Without spending time starting and stopping sessions, you’ll not have to repeatedly recall emotions or memories, just the once. A good comparison is taking city streets vs taking freeways. You get to the destination, but with one route you maintain a high rate of speed, and the other, although faster than walking, is slower.

  • Why Intensives vs Weekly EMDR?

A good comparison is taking city streets vs taking freeways. You get to the destination, but with one route you maintain a high rate of speed.  This translates to taking less time off work, less child care required, less disruptions to daily/weekly life, and faster healing.  Any money saving too!  We estimate many of our clients get 4-6 months of improvement out of a one day intensive.  A 3 day intensive can cover as much ground and healing as a year or more of therapy.  The upfront cost is more than a weekly or bi-weekly payment, but the overall cost is lower when comparing 6-18 hrs vs 6-24 months of office fees.

  • What are the benefits to intensives?

    • Deeper Dives: with more time, you can really dig into the tough stuff, like a treasure hunt for emotional gold.
    • Speedy Healing: It's like the express lane for therapy—months of progress in just a few sessions.
    • Fewer Pit Stops: no more losing momentum between sessions—just one long ride to recovery town.
    • All-in Focus: You and your therapist can laser-focus on the big issues without the "time’s up" buzzer.
    • Staying Steady: More time means you can leave each session feeling more grounded and ready to take on the world.
    • Big Feels Allowed: Got a lot of emotions? Bring 'em on! Extended sessions give you plenty of time for a good emotional workout, so you can really let it all out without feeling rushed.
    • Less Scheduling Hassle: Fit all that therapy goodness into a few big chunks, so you have more time for life.
    • Financial Savings: Fewer sessions can mean less money spent on travel and session fees, giving your wallet a little therapy of its own.
